Join us June 1-4, 2009, in Atlanta, Georgia, for the USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium. The 44th edition of this annual meeting will feature 3-1/2 days of general and tracked sessions. The theme for the 2009 Symposium is “Leading a Strong Public Health Workforce for a Healthy America.” The conference will address a broad range of emerging trends, research break-throughs and critical issues in public health.

Nurse Category Day is Tuesday, June 2, 2009, and the theme for that day is “Generating a Sustainable Nurse Workforce”. Our morning keynote speaker will be Dr. Sue Hassmiller, Senior Advisor for Nursing at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Our afternoon keynote will be Richard Klomp with the Workforce and Responder Resilience Team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We will also have three interesting and educational panels to round out the day. Note: Attendance is not limited to USPHS nurses, all nurses are encouraged to attend.

Six CEs will be given for Nurse Category Day, and a total of 19 CEs for the entire conference!
